Recipe Barbecued Asian Inspired Shrimp


Recipe Asian Inspired Barbecue Shrimp

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound of large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon of grated ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Skewers (if using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes before using)

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the garlic, soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, rice vinegar, ginger, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Add the shrimp to the marinade and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the shrimp onto skewers, about 4-5 shrimp per skewer.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Grill the shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side, or until they are pink and cooked through.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!

Optional: Garnish with chopped cilantro and a squeeze of lime juice for an extra burst of flavor.
